Absolutely the very best, most accurate and compelling model of its kind. I would take one back with me in a Time Machine if I could, perhaps the best investment in my clinical practice- patients “get it” when they see the model work its magic!

Diamonds are less expensive than this model. Since I began my physiotherapy studies, I have not seen another model with such beautiful details. This close and accurate representation of what I read about the disc in books and studies made me very thrilled. The remarkable accuracy of this model stands out in comparison to all other models in Egypt, in my opinion. It is a true gem, and what sets it apart is how dynamically compressible it is—though not necessarily readily; I feel like I can actually see a disc. Additionally, his anatomical intricacies, including the position of the medial herniation, the specifics of the DRG, and even the pedicles, cause me to truly pause in front of this magnificent, fantastic, and amazing lumbar professional model.
    Highly recommended 👌❤️

  3. Tom Jesson

This is a great model. I leave it on my desk to help me visualise anatomy and use it in videos to teach other PTs. Highly recommended.

  4. Chad (verified owner)

This model is something our clinic has tried to find for years. The detail is amazing and I have yet to see anyone else come close. This has been a huge tool for us in patient education and I cannot recommend enough!

  5. Dr Nathan Bridge (verified owner)

Great model to help explain to patients, most realistic.

    • Jerome Fryer

      Thank you doctor.

  6. Dr. Robert Gregory Lusk, DC (verified owner)

This is the best model I’ve seen. As a strong visual learner myself I’ve always appreciated that aspect of the educational process with patients. The moving parts accurately demonstrate how the lumbar spine functions. The disc is particularly impressive as it demonstrates the biomechanics involved with compression, flexion/extension, and rotary forces. As a DC that utilizes the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy to complement my manual skills, the dynamic disc nicely illustrates the “derangement” concept and how a directional preference is used to get “reduction” of the derangement.

  7. Barry Kluner, DC

Dr Jerome, whether you realize it or not (am sure you do!), your DDD models have helped connect the doctor and client in a way that was never attainable before. Compared to generic ‘static’ models, your ‘dynamic’ models help us explain the intricate details of each client’s condition in an easier to understand concept that can be catered or customized to each individual client’s needs, whether technical or basic. Your models have re-established the vital importance of the doctor / client communication relationship, dramatically bridging the gap for both to have a common understanding of the condition, the process ahead, and the targeted outcomes towards health and wellness for life. Simply perfect.

  8. Patrick Conlin, DC, DAAMLP (verified owner)

The LxH model is fantastic to explain disc herniation’s to patients that need to see what is causing their pain. It is a fantastic tool and the patients deserve it. Thank you! I’ve only had it one month and I use it with all of my disc injury patients (I have lots of them.) Cant wait to use it in Expert Testimony. Thank you!

  9. Dr. Dale Macdonald

I’ve been VERY satisfied with this model and use it every day in my clinical practice. The level of detail and anatomical accuracy are impressive, and patients are greatly benefitted by being able to see the area in question move dynamically. An outstanding tool for patient education, and quite frankly worth every penny.

  10. Sylvain Pigeon

I’m a chiropractor and also anatomy teacher in a chiropractic college.
I use this model in my daily chiropractic office life, but i bring it everywhere.
From chiropractic student to neurosurgeon they all agreed to said “the best ever”
Not the perfect one, anatomy is dynamic i’m sure that DDD can create better model again.
    Thanks

  11. Jacksun

This Model is just the best. Thank you for creating it! I highly recommend this model.

  12. JT Anderson, DC

I would highly suggest to purchase the models for your practice or law firm. I have used the herniation models in trial and the ah ha factor is overwhelming. Being a non surgical spinal decompression specialist, the models have allowed me to explain the disc injury in such vivid detail, that patients have no issues writing checks to cover the cost of the therapies. I have basically sold my “old and outdated” models to young docs to make room for the Spine Education Models.

Thank you so much and am so glad I bumped into you a number of years ago at the Parker Seminar in Vegas and hope to see you there again.

  13. Taylor Laviolette, RMT, Personal Trainer, and Practical Department Advisor (verified owner)

    Dear Dr. Fryer,

My name is Taylor Laviolette. I am the Practical Department Education Advisor at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, a practicing RMT for 8 years, and a self proclaimed “back-geek”. I teach massage therapy students about soft-stiiue injury, and take particular enjoyment in teaching them about my favourite subject, back pain.

We have some models at WCCMT, but none of them are quite as detailed, and none are nearly as dynamic. The Professional LxH model has been an outstanding visual aid for teaching students about hydrodynamics of discs, vertebral bodies, and fantastic for demonstrating how nuclear material may herniate relative to a nerve root. Two dimensional drawings in our orthopaedic text-books can not compare. This USED to be a much longer lecture! lol… Thanks.

I wish the college would buy a model for each type of spinal pathology. It would make put jobs easier, more pleasurable, and demonstrate, more realistically to students pathoanatomical mechanisms for spinal pain and dysfunction.

Thank you for your dedication to improve the tools that we teach with every day.

Just wanted to relay a story to you about an injured airline worker who we saw in the office. He had a herniated disc at L5. Flexion made his pain worse and extension mitigated the pain. Sitting caused pain and he was relieved with standing. Anyway, they sent him back to work light duty which involved sitting 8 hours a day. Of course, he worsened. I showed him your vertebral model which really sunk in. He just got it. He asked if he could bring it to his work comp hearing. I was hesitant as I did not want to lend it out, but he assured me he would bring it back. At the hearing, he said everyone in the room passed it around and he was able to demonstrate why sitting and flexion makes disc pain worse. They had never seen anything like it. Completely a new concept to them. They approved another 2 weeks out of work and when he returns, they will accommodate him in whatever way he necessitates. They may want me to come in and speak to them about preventing disc injuries. We have been using your models since the very beginning. They are absolutely invaluable in our clinic.

I work in a pain management center. I use the Professional LXH Disc Model daily to explain any number of spine pathologies to my patients. The dynamic nature improves patient understanding and engagement in care, which is essential for compliance and therapy success. I have 3 other spine models in my office, and use the LXH the most, by far

  16. Dr. Lance Cohen

The Dynamic Disc Designs model is by far the best teaching aid in my arsenal. I use this model every day in practice because it makes my job of educating patients so much easier. This dynamic model allows the patient to visually see with their own eyes the dynamic movements of a disc and the adjacent vertebrae and the associated nerves.

  17. Jen Chen

I previously used the standard spinal model sold on the market, but my patients seemed disinterested, but when I switched to the DDD model not only was it educational for adults, but has sparked children in our practice to ask great questions as well! They are amazed at the details on the DDD model and really enjoy learning about their spine now!

  18. Dan Kelly

My clinic relies heavily on the patient education process, as I believe all clinics should. I have not come across any anatomical model that depicts spinal mechanics as well as this one does. It saves me time, makes detailed explanation easy, increases patient compliance and ultimately, produces better results. I recommend it highly to any clinician who works with the spine.

  19. Stephen Elam

The DDD has helped me as an instructor in a DPT program show a more realistic anatomical representation of the human spine. This helps the students have a more accurate image of the spine in their head and allows them to have a stronger anatomy foundation.

  20. Darryl Roundy

I have had the lumbar disc model for a couple months now and it has made my explanation of disc herniations so much easier – since having this model, I have had so many “ah-ha” moments with patients. It just makes sense and to me is a no-brainer to have in the office. If you want to explain disc herniations and any other typical pathology to patients, this is an easy purchase – you won’t be sorry!

  21. Dean M. Greenwood, DC

The LxH disc model is the most realistic patient education tool I’ve seen in 27 years of practice. When patients see the model, they immediately “get it”. If you treat herniated discs in your practice, this is a must have. I commend Dr. Fryer on his painstaking efforts to produce such a finely crafted and well thought out model. Every chiropractor needs the LxH. I look forward to more innovative products in the future, and I will continue to enthusiastically recommend the models to all my colleagues!

  22. Jason Buehler DC

The DDD model has proven to be an invaluable tool to explain lumbar spine anatomy. My patients can see and feel as I explain their disc injury and how decompression therapy can have positive effects on the disc. It is truly a work of art!

  23. Aleta Bezzic DC

Living in Dubai I have many patients who are unfamiliar with spinal biomechanics, and often they do not speak fluent English. Having this model has been an amazing way to clearly help them understand where the pain is coming from, and how I can help them. Best teaching tool I have ever used!

  24. Doug Price, D.C.

Your model of verebral anatomy has been totally amazing at showing the phenomenon of disc secussion that can occur during decompression therapy! Thanks!

  25. Jason Cozart DC

Most patients can’t comprehend spinal anatomy with charts and pictures. The DDD models have made my life easier because now they understand what I’m trying to tell them. Since they understand patients are keeping their treatment plans better.

  26. Tariq arif

Over 12 years i have bought multiple items. Spines, vertebrae models. However the only one i use now is the ddd model. It is absolutely the best. I hand it to the patient and go over their problem. I brings a realism factor. The patients problem is now REAL. Xrays are good but are static. This model is the REAL deal. I literally couldnt practice without it.

  27. Ken Peluso DC

After using every patient education tool out there over my 29 years of practicing, I finally found one that is hands down the best out there! My patients now truly understand , not only the problem, but the necessity of treatment!

  28. Dr. Lee Zohn

As a chiropractor in a hospital setting we see a high number of complex spinal conditions. Up until we purchased the models from Dynamic Disc Designs it was almost impossible to give an accurate demonstration of spinal biomechanics and the effects on the discs, joints and ligamentous structures. DDD has single handedly changed the way I practice. Patients just get it. The spinal models from DDD should be in every doctor’s office and on the shelves at every medical, chiropractic and physical therapy school.

  29. Charese Pelham MD

Your DDD models: if “One picture is worth a thousand words,” I’d have to say that “One DDD model is worth a thousand pictures!”

  30. Dr. Lee E. Zohn, DAAPM, CCSP, FICPA

I cannot tell you how much I use the Professional LxH lumbar disc model. I have had it 2 years+ and it is still good as new. Thanks again.

  31. Stuart M. McGill Ph.D.

This model with the bulging nucleus is exactly what we see in real discs – its brilliant. It is a perfect teaching tool to illustrate the difference between flexion motion and flexion moment/torque and the disc bulge as an injury mechanism.

  32. Dan

    JUST THE BEST!

  33. Wesley Swen DPT Clinical Instructor, Physical Therapy

The use of your models have enhanced both our level of teaching and also the experience of learning for our students. The dynamic abilities of your lumbar disc model has made patient education a breeze with a higher level of patient compliance with their home exercise programs because of their greater level of understanding. Simply the best anatomical teaching aids on the market today!

  34. Anthony T. Yeung, M.D.

Professional LxH Model is the most detailed and useful spinal disc model I have ever encountered. It illustrates not only the normal anatomy of a Lumbar disc segment, but its innervation, pathoanatomy of annular tears, and how the tear progresses to disc herniation when the spine is loaded in flexion and extension. This model is extremely valuable in helping me explain my patient’s pain and how I plan to address the pathoanatomy with my endoscopic minimally invasive techniques.
